If those who have been in the church for weeks and months have not learned the straightness of the way, ​and what it is to be Christians, and cannot hear all the straight truths of the Word of God, it were better ​that they were cut off from Israel. It is too late in the day to feed with milk. If souls a month or two old in ​the truth, who are about to enter the time of trouble such as never was, cannot hear all the straight truth, ​or endure the strong meat of the straightness of the way, how will they stand in the day of battle? Truths ​that we have been years learning must be learned in a few months by those who now embrace the Third ​Angel’s Message... There is no need of milk after souls are convinced of the truth. As soon as the conviction ​of truth is yielded to and the heart willing, the truth should have its effect, the truth will work like leaven, ​and purify and purge away the passions of the natural heart. It is a disgrace for those who have been in the ​truth for years to talk of feeding souls who have been months in the truth, upon milk. It shows they know ​little of the leadings of the Spirit of the Lord, and realize not the time we are living in. Those who embrace ​the truth now will have to step fast. There will have to be a breaking up of heart before the Lord, a rending ​of heart, and not the garment.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church ​(SDA) is an Adventist Protestant ​Christian denomination which is ​distinguished by its observance of ​Sabbath,the seventh day of the ​week in the Christian and the ​Hebrew calendar, as the Sabbath, its ​emphasis on the imminent Second ​Coming advent of Jesus Christ, and ​The denomination grew out of the ​Millerite movement in the United ​States during the mid-19th century ​and it was formally established in ​1863. Among its co-founders was ​Ellen G. White, whose extensive ​writings are still held in high regard ​by the church.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is the largest of several Adventist groups ​which arose from the Millerite movement of the 1840s in upstate New York, a ​phase of the Second Great Awakening. William Miller predicted on the basis of ​Daniel 8:14–16 and the "day-year principle" that Jesus Christ would return to ​Earth between the spring of 1843 and the spring of 1844. In the summer of 1844, ​Millerites came to believe that Jesus would return on October 22, 1844, ​understood to be the biblical Day of Atonement for that year. Miller's failed ​prediction became known as the "Great Disappointment".

The church places an emphasis on diet and ​health, including adhering to Kosher food ​laws, advocating vegetarianism, and its ​holistic view of human nature—i.e. that the ​body, soul, and spirit form one inseparable ​entity. The Church holds the belief that ​"God created the universe, and in a recent ​six-day creation made the heavens and the ​earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and ​rested on the seventh day." Marriage is ​defined as a lifelong union between a man ​and a woman. The second coming of Christ ​and resurrection of the dead are among ​official beliefs.

‘’Our bodies are built up from the food we eat. There is a constant ​breaking down of the tissues of the body; every movement of every ​organ involves waste, and this waste is repaired from our food. Each ​organ of the body requires its share of nutrition. The brain must be ​supplied with its portion; the bones, muscles, and nerves ​demand theirs. It is a wonderful process that transforms the food ​into blood and uses this blood to build up the varied parts of the ​body; but this process is going on continually, supplying with life and ​strength each nerve, muscle, and tissue.’’ MH 295
